European Network COPASCH - Cooperation parents and schools

Main objectives

"    A European network of parents, parent representatives, teachers and education authorities as a forum for joint debate and cooperation on identifying and promoting innovative ways of supporting parent-school cooperation
"    Improving the joint involvement of parents and the school in pupils' education as a shared responsibility
"    Europe-wide parental involvement as an integral factor in quality development and quality assurance in schools to combat educational disadvantage and improve the education process
"    Intensive exchange and application of new methods and approaches between all interested parties on parent-school cooperation
"    Further development of pedagogical content and methods for intensive use in education and in initial and continuing training of teachers and parents
Main activities
"    Creation of an internet platform as a common working tool for the network partners and as a vehicle for presenting the results
"    Organisation of regularly network meetings and theme based conferences with the project partners and other interested parties
"    Analysis and appraisal of the current situation of parent-school cooperation in the partner countries
"    Presentation of best-practice-examples on the subject from the partner countries in the form of a catalogue
"    More intensive and targeted exchange of experience, good practice, ideas and innovative contributions, and their transferability to other partners
"    Joint actions/activities and problem-solving to improve parent-school cooperation
"    Design and testing of curricular modules for continued training of parents and teachers in connection with joint responsibility for education
"    Recruitment by the project partners of more network participants nationally and internationally, especially partners from Comenius projects and other networks
"    Ongoing promotional activities and dissemination of results, e.g. publications, conferences
